The Doge Pound Shelter Officially Launches
In this post

The Doge Pound, an NFT project committed to helping dogs across the globe, officially launched its Doge Pound Shelter today.

"I want to personally say thank you to everyone of you, without all of us as a community this wouldn't be happening," John wrote on Discord. "I'm personally most proud of this part of the brand and what its become. I hope many of you are as well as you're making a true impact in the world."

The plans for the shelter are to continue to increase its size and effectiveness in solving problems for homeless dogs.

The NFT project currently donates 0.5 percent of all royalties to the shelter every two to three months in a lump sum, but the team wants to make that process more transparent and apparent for holders. They're working on adding a tracker on the website to show how much money has been donated and a live dog camera showing the shelter.

Holders will also have the opportunity to name dogs at the shelter in the future.
