Staff Writer

Doge Pound is hosting its "biggest event to date" in Los Angeles on Dec. 10-11, according to the project's Twitter.

Doge Pound holders can attend the event, which is being held at the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Playa Vista, for no cost. No times were included in the tweet.

Holders will need to fill out a form to gain access to the event, which boasts sponsors such as Tito's Vodka, Top Chico, and Nationwide. Doge Pound will be doing some "cool activations" with the brands.

The event will feature: interactive art exhibits, live art performances, local food trucks, cocktail lounge, dog photos with Santa, live DJ performances, dog tricks and tips, panel discussions, and a meet and greet with dog influencers.

The Doge Pound Releases Update on 3D NFT Models
Jason Bales

The Doge Pound provided holders with an update about its 3D dog NFTs, which it is expected to release in the coming weeks.

The 3D Doge Pound NFTs are in the final design stage, according to a recent Discord post.

"Last night, the 3D Doge [NFT] model got its final touchups and is in a place that we're happy with for now," the team wrote. "It's possible we could tweak the base model a little bit more based on some of the overall feedback once we show the first animated preview."

Even with the tweaks, the first animation is expected to be released to the public in the coming days.

"With that said, the model is now in rigging for a few touch ups today and then being sent to animation tomorrow," the team continued. "We will need about three to four days of animations to get it to the point where it is ready to finally show the first animated and rigged version of it. That puts us at the latter half of next week."

The team also announced its new community NFT program is now underway.

Tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. ET, a meeting will be held on the Doge Stage in Discord to discuss the program. Next week, the first workshop class is expected to launch. Each workshop will be adjusted based on community feedback.

The Doge Pound announced its most recent B2B (business to business) partnership, aligning itself with an award-winning web2 habit building product, Habit Nest.

"This is an exciting moment because as we're navigating this bear market, the projects we're most bullish on aligning ourselves with are ones that operate like a startup with real value to add to this web3 space," Griff wrote on Discord. "Please welcome in The Phoenixes by Habit Nest ... an eight-figure welness web2 business with dozens of award-winning products focused on habit building."

The Phoenixes is an upcoming NFT project from Habit Nest, which is expected to mint in August 2022. The project's private Discord is unlocked for The Doge Pound NFT holders.

The partnership also involves The Phoenixes launching a health and wellness program from The Doge Pound community in the near future.

"With daily challenges to improve the health and wellness of our community, The Phoenixes will be leading ongoing experiences with World of Women (another Habit Nest partner)," the Discord message reads. "You will get an opportunity to earn rewards as you engage with wellness activations, both in Discord and through [Habit Nest's] web3-compatible mobile app."

Habit Nest has been featured in Harvard Business Review, Bustle, Business Insider, Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times, Women's Health, and more.
