LooksRare

After another sustained period of downtime or inactivity from OpenSea, NFT participants vocalized their wish for an OpenSea competitor once more this weekend. As of early Monday morning, their wishes have been granted. LooksRare, which had just recently opened some private beta access to users, has officially opened its doors for NFT trading.

We'll be working to provide a more in-depth review of the exchange shortly, but for now, users can take the site for a spin on their own at LooksRare.org

Additionally, LooksRare is looking to create an ecosystem that rewards active participants of its platform (web3!!). As such, anyone that traded at least 3 ETH in volume on OpenSea between June 16 and December 16 of 2021, is eligible for an airdrop claim of the $LOOKS token. In order to claim, users must navigate to LooksRare, connect their wallet, and list an NFT for sale. At that time, they'll be eligible to claim their token allotment.

$LOOKS tokens can then be traded on a decentralized exchange, such as Uniswap, or can be staked directly on platform for ~2,800 percent APY. Active users of the platform will have the opportunity to earn $LOOKS based on their trading activity as well.
