NFTerra: New Punks on the Block, Skeleton Punks Launch on Luart

Terra (LUNA) quickly established itself as one of crypto's premier blockchains with its ever-expanding and unique ecosystem of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. Now, Terra NFTs are growing into a formidable alternative to the dominant Ethereum-based projects, especially in the P2E (play-to-earn) space due to Terra's low transaction fees.

This article highlights three of the most important Terra NFT news items each week. This week: Skeleton Punks are the hottest new mint on the block, BabyBulls are on the run in new Bull Dash game, and Levana's Faction Wars are now live.

Skeleton Punks Whitelist Mint on Luart NFT Launchpad

On Feb. 25, Skeleton Punks started its minting process via Luart's NFT launchpad. Community whitelist (WL) opened two hours prior to the public mint, and as of the time of this writing, Skeleton Punks sold 4,669 of its 5,064 total available NFTs. 

Skeleton Punks are reborn defenders of the Terra ecosystem. Their mission is to protect Terra from bears and institutions threatening to take it down. Currently, there are no threats, and the Skeleton Punks are patiently awaiting their next opportunity to spring into action.

The project's roadmap includes: rarity rankings, a treasury, charity contributions (part of Angel Protocol's alliance), a Skeleton Punks DAO with a 1:1 voting ratio for holders, staking for airdrops and additional benefits, giveaways, and metaverse expansion.

The team currently consists of four founders -- Phrex, Boolin, iRoyo, and Evyon -- and eight team members -- Aston, Chris_, CXVI, vardelea, Striker, ZoZoUK, JuJu, and BigReeves.

A secondary marketplace is coming to Luart soon after the mint is completed.

LunaBulls' BabyBulls Are Off to the Races in New Bull Dash Game

The LunaBulls official companion drop, BabyBulls, is getting its own play-to-win Bull Dash game. The game is currently under development and more details are expected soon.

The game looks like an "endless runner" style game, similar to Temple Run and other popular games in this genre. BabyBulls NFTs will be used as your main character, and the preview appears to offer rewards for those who score the highest on the weekly leaderboard. 

Tickets, shown in the bottom right-hand corner of the graphic, seem important to the game. This is speculation, but LunaBulls NFT holders could earn tickets, which may be required to compete in races. 

More details will be made available closer to launch.

Levana Dragons Launches Its Much-Anticipated Faction Wars

On Feb. 22, Levana went live with its much-anticipated Faction Wars. The project, which is both an NFT game and a leverage protocol on the Terra Network, has been asking holders to choose a faction for months. And now, that decision must be made.

The four available factions are: Council, Terrans, FreeMartians, and Guardians. The winning faction will be decided based on how interactive the members of its community have been, the number of dragons committed to the faction, the spirit level of those dragons, gems collected, quests performed, and total participants.

Levana is one of the most complicated and engaging NFT ecosystems on Terra. This overview is not meant to provide complete clarity on the project. Learn more here.

Levana also announced the launch of its Cards Mini Game on Feb. 24. Each holder received four Dragon Card NFTs. There is one Dragon Card NFT for each faction (listed above). The purpose of this game is to trade with members of the community until you have one Dragon Card from each faction. 

The prize for completing this task is yet to be revealed.
