Latest Porsche 911 News
The Porsche Pioneers Co-Pilots airdrop revealed yesterday, according to an announcement by the project.
❗Why It Matters
Porsche's web3 journey has been interesting to say the least. The project cut supply shortly after its mint started, sending the floor price skyward. Then the project announced it would send a special airdrop for original minters and not just holders. Combine that with the interesting "Choose Your Road" mechanics and you've got an intricately unfolding web3 project.
The latest airdrop, Co-Pilots, similarly provides intrigue thanks to comments from Porsche, which seems to be leaning into web3 culture and anticipation of events. "Holding a CO-PILOT with the same road as your 911 NFT might or might not be notable," said the project.
📊 By the Numbers
Porsche Co-Pilots hold a floor price of 0.1678 ETH at the time of writing and boasts a top sale of 0.65 ETH.

Porsche announced its first airdrop will be hitting wallets soon, in a tweet early this morning from the project's official Twitter account.
❗ Why It Matters
The 2,363 item airdrop will be going live "very soon," according to the announcement. It will be landing in wallets "where the original 911 was minted."
❓ Wait, What?
Because the announcement noted the airdrop will be sent to minter wallets, it seems as though those who bought an NFT from the secondary market may be out of luck when it comes to Porsche's first airdrop. While it is not yet known exactly what the airdrop will consist of, the FAQ section of Porsche's website mentions "it will also be possible to claim a 3D version of your NFT opening up completely new opportunities going forward." Could this be the first airdrop?

Why not to the ones who currently hold it? I bought it for 3x the mint price, I think I deserve one and not someone who bought and sold it...@BullrunEpic
Minters who sold are awarded for flipping? Jokes on me who bot [sic] on secondary. Ha ha.@Marcus99497163
Porsche is kicking off Phase 1 of its NFT customization process starting Feb. 14th
❗ Why It Matters
Holders will be able to choose a road: performance, heritage, or lifestyle. Porsche previously said that the road you choose will define your individual PORSCHΞ experience and that it would be the foundation for the design traits of your virtual 911.

🔙 Back It Up
Yesterday, Porsche proceeded with its mint of 7,500 NFTs at a mint price of 0.911 ETH (~$1,477 USD at time of this writing).
While there were 4 allowlist waves, it was clear early on that there wouldn't be enough interest for the project to mint out all 7,500 NFTs. At present time, a little over 1,800 (<25%) have been minted, and the floor price is essentially flat to mint price (0.922 ETH).
🖼️ The Big Picture
This has been a disappointing entry into the space for a giant like Porsche. There were some obvious missteps (not opening the Discord to the community, not announcing mint price well ahead of time), as well as other red flags (not purchasing their own ENS name), but ultimately the project would've likely been celebrated by web3 degens far and wide if it had been a success.
CommunityTalk
"I tried to warn you, before mint, we wanted such a storied brand like Porsche to do well. could have saved the team the heartache, sold out the entire collection, the secondary would be blazing right now-easily over 1000 eth activity," tweeted Pete Halvorsen.
What's Next?
The community awaits Porsche's next move. With the mint ending a little over 12 hours from now, it remains to be seen how much more of the supply will be minted.

Early feedback has focused on the mint price, with multiple commenters opining that 0.911 ETH is too expensive.
