Tyler Warner's NFT Market Summary
It was a wild weekend in the NFT markets, with the Trump Digital Trading Cards taking NFT Twitter (and maybe the world) by storm. The project soared in trading on Saturday, reaching a peak of over 0.8 ETH (~$1,000), a near-10x from its $99 mint price. There was speculation that a big driver in the surge in price was that several Trump NFT holders would find it difficult to list the NFTs for sale on Polygon (requiring WETH + MATIC for gas, plus an understanding of the listing process). But even with half of the supply in wallets without enough gas to list, the floor came back to earth on Sunday, falling to the 0.3 ETH level (-40%).
While Trump NFTs were falling, a mysterious artist named Lascaux (with speculation of ties to Banksy) sent the digital art market into a frenzy with some intriguing burn mechanics and game theory. There are now 7 editions in the set (out of a now expected 10), with a floor price of 0.14 ETH (Erekt) and a top-end price of 20 ETH (Hookt). The Fukt edition seems to be the primary "currency" fueling the burns, used three times now in the creation of new editions. Fukt was an open edition mint at 0.01 ETH and is now at 0.174 ETH (a 17x). This will be a primary project to watch ahead of a big reveal of some kind coming on Christmas day.
There were a few other winners on the weekend. Valhalla saw a nice rebound to 1.2 ETH, up 40 percent from its local bottom. The Bored Ape-adjacent Mutant Hounds, with ties to the Mutant Cartel DAO and notable holder Lior, sold out their full supply in allowlist at 0.25 ETH, then doubling on the secondary market to a 0.58 ETH floor. Friday's Art Blocks drop "Implications" jumped 90 percent on Sunday to 0.95 ETH. And Terraforms Mathcastles jumped 36 percent to 3.1 ETH on some news of a growing "multiplayer Art World."
In other market news, total NFT trading volume came in at ~21.5k ETH on Saturday and ~19.5k ETH on Sunday, with Blur capturing 55-60% market share. The Wolf Game project ended Alpha Game and dropped its Woolpaper ahead of a pending launch of The Full Game expected this week. The digital payment platform Flexa has added ApeCoin integration. And Coinbase debuted custom digital greeting cards for the holidays.

Upcoming NFT Mints and Reveals
- Lascaux Editions - Tikd burn to redeem (live)
- Art Blocks Presents: Volute (1:00 p.m. ET)
The Art Blocks Presents drop "Volute" will be the likely drop of the day, with just 200 supply and some nice aesthetics. The success of Friday's "Implications" drop, now up 200 percent from its 0.3 ETH mint, means today's drop will catch more attention from botters and flippers. That puts it at risk of mining out too high, which hurts the trade potential, so tread carefully.
The most exciting ecosystem to watch right now is likely Lascaux's, which had a new burn-to-redeem mechanism announced late last night for Tikd, open another 4 hours. There will likely be another burn or twist of some kind announced later today, as the editions continue to jostle in supply and value. While Fukt is proven to be a major currency, Hakt is the wildcard, now used for two burns already, and if used in a third, it will cement its place as a foundational edition.

Tyler Warner's NFT Market Summary
The NFT market is on edge right now as Crypto seems at risk of another dip. Spreading concern about Binance, given CZ's performance in recent interviews, has the crypto community worried about their solvency. Both BTC and ETH saw dips this morning, with BTC at $17,012 (-3.9%) and ETH at $1,212 (-6%), with all of this week's gains now fully given back.
It's red on the board for NFTs as well. The top-end sets are chopping or slightly red, wihle recent big movers give their gains back. Valhalla is back below 1 ETH at 0.97, down 33 percent from local highs. Tim Ferriss's COCKPUNCH is back at 0.76 ETH (-27%), down from a surge past 1 ETH, and rektguy is back at 0.89 (-20% from local highs). BAYC is one of the lone winners, up 6 percent on the day to 65.69 ETH floor.
Thursday did see a shocking new NFT project drop in Trump Digital Trading Cards. The cards, created by an LLC licensing Trump's name, sold out their 45,000 supply on Polygon and are now holding a 0.12 ETH floor ($145), up 45 percent from the $99 mint price. The project has seen a top sale at 6 ETH already, with six sales over 3 ETH.
It was also a big day for XCOPY. Moonbirds announced new custom backgrounds designed by XCOPY for birb holders who also have XCOOPY's Max Pain. Punk6529 announced the allowlist rules for today's XCOPY Meme card drop, the highest anticipated card drop of SZN 1. And XCOPY's Grifters benefitted from the attention, up 17 percent to 17.5 ETH.
In other Web3 news, OpenSea has added direct support for Ledger wallets. Animoca Brands, one of the biggest investors in Web3, is launching its own PFP project for friends and family called the Mocaverse. Frank DeGods' y00ts announced the launch of "Clubs", empowering trait sub-groups to organize and grow. The Sandbox partnered with OpenZeppelin to launch a new metaverse security service. And the team behind Onlybots has received $3M in additional funding led by Polygon Studios, helping its goal of moving AR back into the hands of creators.
NFT Total Volume*
- Bored Ape Yacht Club (2,885 ETH, 65.69 ETH Floor Price)
- Clone X (2,383 ETH, 6.15 ETH Floor Price)
- Mutant Ape Yacht Club (1,704 ETH, 13.85 ETH Floor Price)

NFT Floor Price Increase*
- Murakami Lucky Cat Coin (85%, 0.28 ETH Floor Price)
- Cool Cats (30%, 2.59 ETH Floor Price)

- Wolf Game - Land (17%, 0.39 ETH)
- Grifters by XCOPY (17%, 17.5 ETH)
NFT Floor Price Decrease*
- COCKPUNCH (-28%, 0.76 ETH Floor Price)

- Valhalla (-22%, 0.97 ETH Floor Price)
- KPR (-17%, 0.19 ETH Floor Price)
- MNTGE Pass (-13%, 0.65 ETH Floor Price)
Upcoming NFT Mints and Reveals
- The Memes by 6529 - XCOPY Card (11:00 a.m. ET)
- Art Blocks Presents: Implications (1:00 p.m. ET)
- DNA-2 Gutter Dog Clones (4:20 p.m. ET)
- Crypto Cards (6:00 p.m. ET)
The Meme card drop today is by far the most important of the day, as XCOPY ends SZN1 of the cards with a 420 edition supply. The target price is likely well above 5 ETH for those lucky enough to mint, and it probably has upside over 10 ETH. It will be one of the lowest supply cards in the set, and thus a bottleneck for those building full sets. The Art Blocks drop is interesting as well, but AB tailwinds have cooled off considerably, with recent mints being much less profitable. Tread carefully.

Former President Donald Trump announced he is releasing an NFT collection called "Trump Cards" in an update posted to Truth Social this morning.
The cards that make up the collection serve a dual purpose as collectibles that also allow entry into a sweepstakes that includes various meet-and-greet opportunities with the former president among other prizes. The headliner is a "Gala dinner with Donald Trump," which is described as an upcoming luxury black tie event held in South Florida. A full overview of prize options can be found on the project website. Collectors can guarantee entry to the gala dinner by purchasing 45 cards through the sale.
The NFTs themselves are hosted on the Polygon blockchain, and they feature Trump in various environments, including as a superhero, as a golfer, as a stock trader, etc. Certain NFTs will be minted as one-of-ones while others will be part of smaller editions, with a maximum edition size of 20. The purchase cost is $99 and the packs can be purchased via credit card or with the equivalent dollar amount in WETH. However, the site does require that customers purchasing with crypto first complete a KYC (know your customer) process.
The maximum collection size will be 45,000, and the collection's artist is Clark Mitchell.
This is Donald Trump's first foray into NFTs, though Melania Trump has released her own collections. Trump has previously declared himself "not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies."
I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity....
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 12, 2019
Reaction to the collection has so far been mixed:
Great seeing Trump support international business by using Fiverr for his NFT collection
