KILLABEARS is releasing its much-anticipated KILLACUBS Builder today, offering holders the opportunity to create custom KILLACUBS after an eight-week incubation period.

A Killabear and Killabit pair, both with matching gold fur and gold eyes, was sold to MetaWin today for 29 ETH (~$54k USD), per a tweet from @Meta_Winners.
The Details
- KILLABEAR #3239 was purchased by MetaWin_xyz along with KILLABIT #3239, who also has matching gold fur, gold eyes, and a party hat, along with an Ice Sword.
- The seller was Killa_Cortana (@Cortana_0), whose OpenSea account (biggboi--vault.eth) still has 10 other Killabears and 39 Cubryos.
- The purchase was made at about a 10x multiple of the KILLABEARS floor (2.71 ETH).

The Details
The Cubryo Incubator launched, allowing users to stake and evolve their Cubryos through eight incubation phases. Each phase lasts a week, and once a Cubryo reaches Phase 8, users can "lock in" the design or customize it using traits from the Base Trait Pool and KILLATRAITS collection.
Users can remove their Cubryos from the Incubator at any time, but doing so will halt the creature's evolution. Upon re-staking, the Cubryo will continue evolving from the phase where it stopped. During the first phase of incubation, users can choose to pair a KILLABIT with their staked Cubryo for a larger base trait pool and a higher chance of getting rarer traits.

The Cubryo Incubator launch marks the start of the journey to KILLACUBS, the companion to KILLABEARS NFTs. For each Killacub you own, you will get a new version with the new contract. But nothing else needs to be done at this time.
The Details
- The project has had some reports of an error with wallet-to-wallet transfers of Killacubs.
- In order to fix this issue, two new contracts will be deployed tonight.
- Holders will be airdropped new Killacubs on a 1:1 basis, based on how many are owned at the time of the airdrop. This includes staked Cubryos, and you will not need to re-stake or pay any gas fees whatsoever.
- Metadata for the current Killacubs and Killacubs Incubation collections will change to ensure all holders are aware of what's happening.

Killabears introduced a new rewards mechanism for its holders yesterday in a Twitter post from the project's official account.

By earning a high "KillaScore," KillaVerse participants will gain rewards including allowlist spots on upcoming mints and other perks.

Holders of Volume 1: The Hunt were able to burn 2 copies for 1 copy of Volume 2 two days ago, and a similar 2:1 swap dynamic is in play for the burn next week.
📊 By the Numbers
36,568 copies of Volume 1 were burned according to the graphic on the website, which means there are 18,284 copies of Volume 2 in circulation. Thus a maximum of 9,142 copies of Volume 3 can exist.
At the time of writing, the floor price for Volume 1 sits at 0.05 ETH, and Volume 2 sits at 0.069 ETH. Interestingly, that means those that didn't hold numerous copies from the mint of Volume 1 (0.02 ETH price) would actually be better off just buying Volume 2 on the secondary, if they are planning to burn for Volume 3.
