Anime has become a global phenomenon, touching every corner of pop culture and showing no signs of slowing down. With a projected market value of $60 billion by 2030, the demand for anime content and merchandise is trending in the right direction and that's lead AnimeCoin to the introduction of AnimeChain.
Developed in collaboration with Arbitrum and Azuki, AnimeChain represents a bold step towards creating a decentralized ecosystem for anime. Arbitrum's involvement cements a foundation built on speed and efficiency, leveraging its Layer 2 technology to ensure that AnimeChain operates with appropriate speed and low-costs.
Azuki's will fill as the inaugural launch partner. As the premier anime NFT collection, Azuki's commitment to AnimeChain underscores the project's committment to its IP and roots. By bringing anime productions, games, and physical products onto the blockchain, Azuki might be creating the precdent for how top-tier anime IPs can thrive in a decentralized environment.

Azuki invited Elementals holders to vote on an update to the background metadata of the Elementals collection, starting on Friday, July 7, at 6:00 p.m. ET.
The Deets
- The proposed update: a domain graphic with a subtle color change.
- Each Elemental token you hold counts as one vote.
- The vote will last 24 hours, no quorum is required.
- Votes are final and cannot be changed after submission.
The Bulk
In a bid to enhance the Elementals aesthetics, Azuki has proposed an update to the background metadata of the Elementals collection. The suggestion consists of a domain graphic with a subtle color shift, set forth by Steamboy and the art team. This shift aims to create a seamless blend with the character art while infusing a refreshing touch into the collection.
Elementals holders, regardless of whether their tokens are revealed or not, are eligible to vote on this change. Each Elemental token held is equivalent to a single vote, enabling users to exercise their voting power proportional to their holdings.
The voting will commence at approximately 6:00 p.m. today and will run for 24 hours to accommodate different time zones. All votes are final upon submission, meaning they cannot be altered. If your Elementals are distributed across multiple wallets, you'll need to connect each wallet individually to cast your votes.
🔜 What's Next?
Should the majority favor the update, the new metadata will be implemented into the Elementals collection. If the vote does not pass, holders can still equip the domain backgrounds off-chain in their Azuki Collector's Profile.

Azuki introduced Elementals, a new collection of 20,000 NFTs, launching on Tuesday, June 27, with pre-sale access for all Azuki and BEANZ holders.
The Deets
- Elementals collection: Four domains, One garden, 20,000 unique NFTs
- Existing Azuki and BEANZ holders airdropped a Soulbound Token (SBT)
- Unrevealed Elementals tokens also airdropped to Azuki holders
- Sale and immediate reveal of remaining tokens after sale ends
The Bulk
Azuki announced the launch of its new Elementals collection late last night at its Follow the Rabbit event. Comprising four domains within one garden, this collection expands their NFT offerings with an additional 20,000 unique NFTs.
An exclusive pre-sale event has been planned for all existing Azuki and BEANZ holders, reinforcing Azuki's commitment to their established community. This token of appreciation extends even further as all holders were airdropped a Soulbound Token (SBT), serving as a special memento of their journey during Follow The Rabbit 2023.
Each Azuki holder was also airdropped an unrevealed and locked Elemental. The allure of these tokens lies in their mystery, with the true form of the Elemental concealed until the completion of the Azuki Elementals sale.
❗Why It Matters
Azuki's Follow the Rabbit event has been one of the most anticipated IRL events in NFT history and the team did not disappoint holders, once more imploring them to "check their wallets" for goodies, ala BEANZ.
📊 By the Numbers
It's not all good news for Azuki holders. Perhaps unsurprisingly with an ecosystem supply increase, the floor on Azuki's has fallen nearly 13% in the last 24 hours to 14.65 ETH. BEANZ have also dropped 7.5% to 1.29 ETH. Elementals are not yet tradeable and therefore do not have a floor price.
🔜 What's Next?
Presale access for BEANZ and Azuki holders will start at noon ET on Tuesday, June 27.

Azuki created a new Communities page on the Azuki site, per Azuki founder @ZAGABOND.
❗ Why It Matters
Many communities—40 at the time of writing—have been formed over a common interest in collecting traits (Spirit DAO for Spirit Azukis and Gold DAO for Gold Beanz, for example), languages and locales, and hobbies (like Sake DAO for those who enjoy sake and soju).
It's a portal for members of the Azuki community, of which there are 10,000 Azukis and 19,944 Beanz, to find smaller groups that they might identify with. The page helpfully includes a brief summary of each sub-group, how long it's been active, as well as the sub-group's Twitter and Discord accounts, if they exist.
🎬 Take Action
Azuki and Beanz holders should check out the Communities page at azuki.com/community and connect with other collectors around the world.

Chiru Labs, the creators of Azuki, announced a partnership with IPX, the global IP platform behind the popular LINE FRIENDS characters.
The Deets
- IPX revolutionizes character IP business with renowned brand collaborations
- The partnership brings collaborative content, retail distribution, and IRL activations
- Starts with BEANZ and LINE FRIENDS IP, potential expansion to other IPs
The Details
IPX, the global IP platform that has successfully revolutionized the character IP business by partnering with renowned brands like BTS, Netflix, and Starbucks, is teaming up with Chiru Labs. This partnership will bring web3 technology into the world of the popular LINE FRIENDS characters, which started as stickers on the LINE messaging app and have since gained global recognition.
The collaboration between Chiru Labs and IPX will lead to joint content, retail distribution at LINE FRIENDS stores, and immersive in-real-life activations that combine both worlds. The partnership kicks off with the BEANZ and LINE FRIENDS intellectual properties, with potential expansion to other IPs in their portfolios, including web3 friendly IPs managed by IPX's dedicated web3 partner, @cripco_official.
BEANZ characters will start appearing on the billboard above the LINE FRIENDS flagship store in Times Square this week!
❗️Why It Matters
Many NFT projects have boasted "IP expansion" as a potential growth factor, but few have been able to successfully deploy IP into the hands of those outside web3. The Chiru Labs and IPX partnership will pair two like demographics of consumers and actually put the BEANZ IP into a userbase of millions of users and consumers previously generated by LINE FRIENDS. If a brand as notable as BTS was willing to work with IPX to help push a collaborative IP, Azuki's doing so seems well vetted.
🎤 Community Quotes
Three notable Azuki NFTs sold for more than 150 ETH this weekend as the overall collection rose three percent to a 14.40 ETH floor.
The Deets
- Azuki NFTs Nos. 5627, 5889, and 9185 all traded above 150 ETH
- Only one of the three was a Spirit Azuki
- Azuki's collection floor is up three percent in the last seven days
📊 By the Numbers
Azuki has quietly moved up in the last month despite a major fallout for most NFT collections, particularly those that are primarily categorized as PFP projects. After the latest Spirit Azuki sale, the Spirit floor stands at 200 ETH.
❗️Why It Matters
The consistency with rare Azuki's command major sums definitely sends a feeling of strength resonating throughout the rest of the collection. While the floor price decline registers at 44 percent over the last year, the strength throughout the depths of the bear market have helped march Azuki up the charts. Where previous midtier companions Doodles, Moonbirds, and Clone X have failed to maintain positive sentiment and attention, Azuki has thrived. The collection is up to No. 5 in our overall power rankings as a result.
🔥 Hot Taek
Something might be around the corner for Azuki as well. The collection recently teased a June meet up in Las Vegas featuring a rabbit silhouette on the poster. Normally when Azuki starts to tease, something follows. Perhaps there is no coincidence we saw these three grails trade shortly after the tweet.
On April 27, Azuki teamed up with NASA and Space X to send Bobu the Bean Farmer - a featured character in the Azuki IP - into space.
Today, the Azuki team notified holders that they have not heard from Bobu since.
The message came in a teaser video showcasing a shackled Bobu falling into orbit, dumped from the space vessel he initially traveled on.
Azuki has not provided many updates about the Bobu NFT, initially launched as experimentation with decentralized IP. The collection boasts 50,000 "fungible" Bobu NFTs which currently hold a floor price of 0.05 ETH, a nearly 5x gain from the initial mint price.
