Latest RTFKT Animus Egg News
RTFKT signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), per The Hollywood Reporter and a tweet from @RTFKT today.
The Deets
- RTFKT is joining forces with CAA to expand the company's IP into film and TV.
- Nike acquired the digital design studio in 2021, and the virtual fashion platform specializes in digital sneakers and other accessories.
- RTFKT will also collaborate with CAA to create a series of webinars and other educational programming for other crypto- and 3D-focused artists.
❗ Why It Matters
Nike keeps working to expand its digital presence and create partnerships with other Web2 behemoths.
Last week, Nike Virtual Studios announced a .SWOOSH x EA Sports partnership, and now Nike's digital design studio RTFKT is signing with powerhouse talent agency CAA to explore film and TV projects based on RTFKT's intellectual property. And last month, Rumble Kong League (RKL) inked a deal with CAA Sports, so CAA's continued involvement serves to legitimize Web3 projects as well.

Curious if this is RTFKT x CAA or will extend to the creator community. If it’s the latter it’s unique and a whole different set of implications 👀
RTFKT announced that Cryptokicks iRL Hubbed NFT holders will have the opportunity to select a US shipping address between May 15th and 29th, with additional details on how the Unhubbing process will work to follow next week.
❗ Why It Matters
Unhubbing was originally scheduled to start on May 1, but instead will now take place in the back half of this month. Cryptokicks iRL Hubbed holders have a two-week window between May 15th and May 29th to unhub their sneakers and choose the address that the physical gets delivered to. This was done to give international holders time to find a place that would be able to reroute the shoes to them.
🔙 Back It Up
Within the RTFKT Cryptokicks iRL collection, there are two different states of Cryptokicks iRL: "Forged" and "Hubbed" versions.
- If Forged, the physical has already been redeemed, so don't purchase if you would like the corresponding physical component, as the Forged version is just a digital collectible.
- Hubbed versions are basically confirmed preorders where the sneaker size and color were already assigned but the shipping address was not selected.

RTFKT gave a sneak peek of its upcoming forging event and a sneak peek of the Murakami "Animus" in recent tweet.
❗Why It Matters
After a year with minimal substantive updates, RTFKT is seemingly in desparate need for positive sentiment and progress that rallies positive community commentary. The latest forging teaser does a bit of both, showing off the companies Nike connection and core competency (metaverse fashion).
Some positive anticipation is also garnered through the Murakami Animus teaser, which is set up with a special event on Apr. 30 in Japan.
The Deets
- The next forging event will take place on Apr. 24.
- The Murakami event will take place in Japan on Apr. 30.
- Event will be open to the public and no pre-registration is required - it is a one-day event from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

RTFKT Pod burning will take place in January 2023, according to a tweet from company co-founder Benoit Pagotto.
Pagotto continued, providing a plethora of information to holders about the upcoming year for RTFKT and the entire Clone X ecosystem and beyond, citing four focuses for 2023: slower, better, together, and deliver.
Each key theme was expanded upon in Pagotto's Twitter thread.
Slower
The RTFKT ecosystem has rapidly expanded over the course of the last year, and the "slower" theme is intended to refocus the team on tying together the disparate parts of the ecosystem and simplifying along the way.
"Quality and sustainable building is the priority above all," says Pagotto.
Better
Better communication is the central theme for RTFKT in 2023.
Pagotto hints that new collector experiences are coming for Clone and Egg holders, one that will also involve the aforementioned Clone X Pods.
This collector experience upgrade is expected to also include a revamped website.
Together
RTFKT remains committed to building and listening to its active and creative community members.
Deliver
Finally, a commitment to delivering on all the foundational products in the RTFKT ecosystem remains a priority for RTFKT in 2023.
Deliver 🚀

RTFKT announced the appearance of MNLTH X on Thursday afternoon, with the new airdrop going out to holders of MNLTH 1 or 2 based on a snapshot taken on Dec. 5.

MNLTH X currently holds a floor of .76 in early trading post-airdrop.
The airdrop comes in the wake of a tumultuous week for RTFKT, which faced significant backlash following an initial announcement that IRL CryptoKicks would only be available to ship to holders in the United States.
The floor price of MNLTH 1 is down 57% to 0.97 ETH over the last seven days, with MNLTH 2 down a whopping 92% to 0.108 over the same time period.
RTFKT addressed the community prior to the airdrop on Thursday in a Twitter Spaces.
Project Animus is a collection of possibly 40,000 "unique creatures with special powers and capacities" that will expand the RTFKT ecosystem, according to the project which updated its frequently asked questions Friday.
The creatures, called Animi, will help "Clones in their adventures" and reveal from EGGs — NFTs that are currently being claimed by Clone X holders — after an incubation phase, the project said.
Supply will be "determined by future Lore moments," according to the project. Each of the 19,437 Clone X holders is able to mint one EGG and Clone X mint vial holders that are holding out will need to reveal their Clone X NFT to claim their EGG. The claim will be open until the public sale.
The final supply "will not exceed" 40,000, RTFKT said. A price for the public sale has not been released, but the current floor for the EGGs collection is 1.25 ETH.
The Animi will have different species, designs, and element traits. RTFKT has released videos and images related to Project Animus — possibly revealing some of the art behind the Animi.

Tyler Warner's NFT Market Summary
The most anticipated event of Thursday was likely RTFKT's Project Animus Egg drop, which did not disappoint, leading the volume charts with over 900 ETH traded and holding a 1.19 ETH floor price. So far 40 percent of the supply has been minted (~8,000 NFTs), and in predictable fashion, the Clone X floor has fallen. It now sits at 7.19 ETH (6.74 ETH on Blur), down 15 percent on the day and more than the value of the Eggs. The RTFKT team has stated this is just the beginning for Project Animus, and that holding an Egg is all you need to participate in that project, perhaps leading to some of the Clone X sell-off.
But while Eggs led volume, an arguably bigger story is from the generative art sector and Dmitri Cherniak's Light Years project. The Ringers artist's latest project completed its fair Dutch auction at 22 ETH for the 100 supply, and then it soared in secondary trading to 31 ETH (+40%). Dmitri's success translated into several other Art Blocks projects on the day, led by Gazers reaching a new ATH at 38 ETH floor (+12%). Meridians reached 11 ETH (+19%), and the latest Curated project Pre-Process is holding a 7.4 ETH floor (up ~50% from mint).
Other winners on the day included rektguy, reaching 0.6 ETH (+30%) on major sweeps, and lilPudgys up to 0.25 ETH (+26%) following the recent run-up of their big brother project Pudgy Penguins (now 3.44 ETH).
It was a major day of Web3 news, led by Stripe releasing a new fiat-to-crypto onramp feature allowing users to purchase crypto and NFTs directly with bank accounts, credit cards, or debit cards (without the use of any central exchanges). Magic Eden made a major announcement that it will be shifting back to protecting royalties with its newest Open Creator Protocol, which also includes dynamic royalty functionality and customizable token transfer controls for creators. Apple blocks Coinbase's latest app release, claiming Coinbase owed them 30 percent of the gas fees on their in-app transactions. And Tim Ferriss has set a price for his upcoming NFT project COCKPUNCH, which will be 0.3 ETH for the 5,555 supply set.

Today is quietly a solid day of new releases, with The Memes by 6529 launching its latest card this morning and another Art Blocks drop. Today's Meme card will be "Cereal GMer" from Daria Klepikova, priced at 0.06529 ETH with ~630 available to be minted out of the 818 supply. With the Meme floor at 0.25 ETH, this will be an automatic 4x+ for minters with more upside, so expect a gas war for those on the allowlist.
Art Blocks remains hot, and today's Ego Death drop has a supply of just 222. With a final resting price of 0.14 ETH, this one is likely a profitable mint if it reaches near the bottom, but as always it depends on who mints the collection (holders vs flippers), and how collectors react to the early outputs.
