Yuga Labs will send ETH to the affected wallets of users who purchased a HV-MTL Power Source with an incorrectly labeled Companion trait, as long as it was prior to the cut-off time, per an announcement from the project.
🔙 Back It Up
Less than 30 minutes after the start of the Summoning, BAYC tweeted that they were having an issue with the Companion traits (earned from Toad Mode) not showing up correctly on the newly revealed HV-MTL Power Sources. The trait was removed from the collection for over three hours, after which the metadata was updated and the trait was re-added to the collection.
For some, the damage had already been done. @lostpropheteth and @orangie both lost 2.5 ETH each, buying Power Sources that didn't actually have Companions, and they wondered aloud what solution could possibly make it right. Others affected also vented on Twitter and openly admitted they didn't expect Yuga to do anything about it.
❗ Why It Matters
Never fade Yuga, right? Rather than retroactively add Companion traits to all the Power Sources that incorrectly showed that they had Companions, but in fact didn't, Yuga is opting to refund the victims sometime later today, as long as they made the purchase prior to 7:44 P.M. ET yesterday.
Affected wallets will receive an amount of ETH that covers "the difference between the amount paid and floor."

The official BAYC account announced that the Summoning is open to eligible Sewer Pass holders.
❗ Why It Matters
The Summoning is the next major event in the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey, and the event arrives almost exactly two months after the Sewer Passes were initially claimed. It's unclear how the Power Sources will be used exactly, but Sewer Pass holders will be happy to be proceeding to the next stage of the journey.
Sewer Passes that are burned reveal an object in the HV-MTL collection, which is made up of 30,000 Mechs derived from 8 different Power Source types. At the time of writing, the floor of HV-MTL on Blur is 2.90 ETH, which is basically equivalent to the 2.90 ETH floor of ranked Sewer Passes.
🔎 The Deets
- There's no rush to mint your Power Source, as the Summoning will be open indefinitely.
- There are 8 different types of sources, and the type is based on Dookey Dash rank.
- The Power Source will reveal an Evo 1 Mech, and Evo 1 holders can participate in future minigame sets with their Evo 1s to unlock additional HV-MTL evolution stages.
- Note that Companion traits currently aren't showing up correctly, so the traits have been removed from the collection for now, per a tweet from BAYC. A metadata update will be pushed when the issue is resolved.
- 3,500 Sewer Passes were never claimed, and 789 were claimed but are ineligible for the Summoning.
- Yuga will mint and hold the remaining bottom-ranked Power Sources until the next minigame. Details on how to obtain these Power Sources will be shared at a later date.

Yuga Labs will delay the Summoning - an event that provides Sewer Passes unknown power sources - until Mar. 15, according to a tweet on Friday.
The Deets
Yuga Labs indicated that the delay comes as a result of internal review, but did indicate the exact reason. Toad Mode scores are still on track to be validated by Tuesday, Mar. 7.
❗Why It Matters
The Summoning is the next major event in the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey, and a week delay is likely to be discouraging to Sewer Pass holders and Yuga Labs enthusiasts. However, given the execution risk, it's important that the team ensures each major step of the Trial is executed with minimal hiccups. To date, Dookey Dash, Toad Mode, and all of the Trial have been relatively stable.
🔜 What’s Next?
The Summoning will now take place on Mar. 15, though no official time has been shared.

The Sewers are closing tomorrow, with a review period to follow until March 7th, according to a tweet from the BAYC account today.
❗ Why It Matters
This is the last chance for Sewer Pass holders with the "N/A" designation to get one run in in order to be eligible for the Summoning. It's also the last opportunity for those seeking a unique companion trait for their Power Source to get a Top 500 score run or a Top 2000 score in Toad Points.
The Details
The Sewers close tomorrow (March 1st) at 1:30 p.m. ET, after which the Toad Mode score will lock to the pass.
After the review period ends on March 7th, the Sewer Pass will be updated to include the Toad Mode results. The Sewer Pass will have a Yes/No trait, depending on if the pass earned a companion from Toad Mode.

Golden Key winner - Mongraal - accepted an offer of 1,000 wETH or $1.62 million on the Golden Key, according to a tweet from the winner.
❗Why It Matters
The potential sale of the Golden Key was the talk of the NFT community in the last few days, with many speculating on the eventual sale of a true Yuga Labs 1/1. The highly sought after NFT drew notable bids from Pixel Vault's UPDAO and Ray Chan, CEO of 9GAG and Memeland, both ultimately falling short of the final sale price.
The Deets
The final purchaser and new owner of the Golden Sewer Key is Adam Weitsman, CEO of Upstate Shredding - Weitsman Recycling and a current holder of multiple BAYC assets.
Mongraal sold directly via OpenSea paying full royalties to Yuga Labs which recouped 50 wETH or $80,000.

The Memeland Twitter account announced this morning that the project had placed a 999 WETH bid on the "Golden Key," a 1-of-1 item won by pro gamer Mongraal for his top score in Yuga Labs' Dookey Dash game.
🔍 Need to Know
- Yesterday, Mongraal let a 690 WETH bid placed on the item by Pixel Vault's UPDAO expire. At the time, Mongraal said, "Double it and I'll accept."
- While today's bid from 9GAG doesn't double the previous offer, will Mongraal turn down $1.6m for The Key?
- The latest bid was placed around 1:00 AM ET this morning and Mongraal has yet to acknowledge it on Twitter.
🎤 Community Feedback
Everyone that insisted Mongraal take the 690E offer are in shambles. Same as the people that will call for him to take the 999E offer. This is THE top asset in the entirety of NFTland... Mongraal can ask for what he wants, and he will get it.@kobrakao
A 690 ETH ($1.1 million) bid on "The Key" - the top prize from Dookey Dash - will expire in approximately 3 hours.
❗Why It Matters
Although details of its ultimate role in the Yuga Labs' ecosystem are unknown, the Golden Key represents one of only a few truly unique ownership connections to the brand (the others being Honorary BAYC and Mega Mutants). In addition to its uniqueness, the bid also comes in an innovative way, with funds gathered via Pixel Vault's UPDAO. A successful sale would establish a market for the Key's price, whilst a denial would point to just how out of reach it may be.
The Deets
- The Key was granted to the top Dookey Dash scorer, professional streamer and gamer - Mongraal.
- The current listing price is 2,222 ETH ($3.4 million).
- The $1.1 million bid expires at 3:44 p.m. ET.
🎤 Community Quotes
Mongraal stood strong in the face of the offer.

🔍 The Deets
- In the replies to the BAYC tweet, Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano (@CryptoGarga) notes that the prizes will not be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, participants will have one week to compete, and those who achieve a score within the top 500, OR a "top 2k Toad Points score at the end of the week," will win the prize, which is referred to as a trait in Garga's tweet.
- Garga further clarifies that Toad Mode will not affect scores earned through Dookey Dash.
- Earlier today, the @BoredApeYC Twitter account tweeted a teaser showing an image of several small one-eyes creatures, noting that participants will have the opportunity to earn these "companions."

The official BAYC account tweeted that the Sewer will re-open tomorrow, and provided an official FAQ with more details.
❗ Why It Matters
Sewer pass holders can play for a unique companion trait to their Power Source if they score a Top 500 score run or a Top 2000 score in Toad Points.
This is the final opportunity for pass holders with the "N/A" tag to score and become eligible for the Summoning. N/A Passes will then become eligible to summon a Power Source ranked UNDER what's summoned by previously ranked Sewer Passes (so below the existing Dookey Dash leaderboard). Thus, those perhaps disqualified for any reason now have a shot at redemption, and salvaging the value of their Pass.
🔍 Need to Know
- Toad Mode can be played at https://mdvmm.xyz from Feb. 22, 2023 to Mar. 1, 2023.
- All Sewer Pass holders are eligible, even those who registered N/A or 0 scores in Dookey Dash.
- N/A Sewer Passes that play Toad Mode and get a valid score > 0 can burn their Sewer Pass for a Power Source during the Summoning.
- N/A Sewer Passes will not update the ranking visual displayed on the passes though, even after playing Toad Mode.
- You cannot improve your rank through Toad Mode if your pass received a rank before. Only Sewer Passes without a rank as of Feb. 15 will be ranked through participating in Toad Mode.
- Leaderboard will now show two different scores tied to your Sewer Pass:
- One score will be Toad Points, based on the number and kinds of toads collected in a single run of Toad Mode.
- The other score comprises points accumulated from fragments collected, items bonked, barriers broken, and distance traveled—the Toad Points will not affect this score.
- Individuals with a Top 500 score run, or a Top 2000 score in Toad Points, will receive a unique companion trait to their Power Source.
