Kanpai Pandas is set to release the final 1,000 Pandas on Solana, completing its collection with exclusive traits and added rewards.

The Deets

  • Exclusive Traits: 12 unique Solana traits will be randomly distributed.
  • Panda Points: Every Solana Panda will receive an additional 5,000 Panda Points.

The Bulk

Kanpai Pandas is concluding its minting series by releasing the final 1,000 Pandas on the Solana blockchain.

Out of these 1,000 Pandas, 250 are reserved for those on the allowlist, leaving 750 available for public minting. 

Every Panda minted on the Solana blockchain will receive 5,000 extra Panda Points, which are usable with the Kanpai Pandas rewards system and PPDEX

For those interested in getting their hands on these exclusive Pandas, the minting process will adopt a Dutch auction system. This means the initial price will decrease every 10 minutes until the collection sells out. 

The event is scheduled for tomorrow, August 15 at 3:00 p.m. E.T.

Kanpai Pandas announced that Panda holders will get a $KARATE airdrop, and shared details on how to get a share.

❗ Why It Matters

Kanpai Pandas has been allocated 1.25 billion @karatecombat tokens, worth "an estimated $900k (at launch)," so holders should be keen to follow the steps to participate in the airdrop 🪂. The initial airdrop of 250 million (20%) will be distributed evenly.

The Details

The steps, as outlined by Kanpai Pandas, are:

  1. Own a Kanpai Panda. A snapshot will be taken on May 15th, with the initial airdrop of 250 million tokens to be distributed evenly.
  2. Compete to earn. Download the @karatecombat app (available on Friday) and play fantasy karate pick 'em and win even more per event (50M-150M per event). To play on the 20th, you will need $KARATE in your wallet by 6 p.m. EST on the 18th.
  3. Get the big bag. The competition goes on for the entire season (12 events), with the top three cumulative winners winning additional tokens (launch value of $145k).
  4. Sweeten the deal. In addition, Kanpai Pandas are going to be giving out over 3 million Panda points, and winners will get exclusive, super rare traits to show off.
  5. The competition starts on May 16th. Once the competition begins, open the app, pick your fighters, divide your tokens between your picks, and cast your vote. If you lose, nothing happens. You can try again next time, as your token number can never go down.

The Details

Kanpai Pandas outlined the dynamic rarity system for its collection of Pandas, in a tweet from the project today.

The Deets

  • The Dynamic Rarity system allows Pandas to climb or descend in rankings by purchasing new traits with Panda Points in the Lab.
  • Pandas can only compete within their relevant body type tiering, with the exception of Red and Normal body types.
  • 1 of 1's (of which there are 15 total) and Infinity Pandas (of which there are 247 total) cannot alter their traits and will remain as they are.
  • Six different trait Rarity Classes exist in the Panda Lab, each affecting a Panda's rarity differently, with varying costs, quantity limits, and Rarity Scores.

The Details

With the introduction of the Panda Lab, which was rolled out at the end of last month, came a mechanic to create custom Pandas. The Panda Lab offers holders the ability to change the on-chain metadata for their Panda using Panda Points (Panda Points are the Kanpai Panda’s native off-chain currency, which can be spent to purchase custom traits in the Panda Lab).

Pandas accrue points daily depending on the Rarity Tier they fall into due to their existing and upgraded traits, and a Panda’s Rarity Score, which places the panda in the Rarity Tiers, is the aggregate score of the highest-scoring item of each trait class a Panda owns — either equipped, worn, or stored in a Panda’s inventory.

While trait shopping, you can “try on” different traits, preview different combinations, and see how those combinations will affect your rarity — an easy way to ensure you’re making the right purchase.

When considering buying an NFT from a collection, prospective purchasers generally consider price, aesthetics, and rarity as key variables in the decision-making process.
